| From conception and design right through to styling, on line assembly, industrialization, and marketing, there’s not a step that’s not closely followed by the firm. Motorcycle history and indeed the very evolution of this vehicle would not have been the same without many of the designs developed by Engines Engineering. The highly popular Fifty, for instance, was the first motorcycle on the market to mount plastic parts. Another blockbuster was the Malaguti F-12 Phantom scooter. Then came the original Malaguti SpiderMax GT500, a scooter with motorcycle twist to it. In 1992 Engines Engineering set up a joint-venture with the National Automobile Design Institute (NAMI) in Moscow. This was to lead in 1996 to the opening in the Russian capital of an Engine Engineering’s office accredited with the Federal Science Ministry. |
